🚀 Portfolio Site — Release 2.1.0 an Umbraco Headless Special

In this video I walk through what landed across the 2.x releases, starting with the big one: connecting Umbraco as a headless CMS and wiring up the Content Delivery API to drive page content dynamically through a service–repository layer.

What's Covered:

The 2.x releases mark a significant step forward for the site. Version 2.0.0 introduced Umbraco as a headless CMS, with pages now populated dynamically via the Content Delivery API — and for the first time, I configured two applications running side by side under a shared app pool, hosting the portfolio site and Umbraco on the same server. Version 2.0.2 brought a white background around text and media across the site to improve readability, and 2.1.0 completed the media migration, with images and video now served directly from the CMS. Running alongside all of this, the 2.x cycle also included general maintenance across appsettings configuration, JSON-LD media source references, and content block DTOs to reflect the new data retrieval pattern.
